Underwhelming Experience at Crooked Lake Elementary
I'm extremely disappointed with the overall experience my child has had at Crooked Lake Elementary School. Despite their mission to provide a 'safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment,' we've found the opposite to be true. The SUN Bucks program, while well-intentioned, has been poorly executed, with long wait times and confusion over eligibility. The school's focus on awards and recognition from the National School Public Relations Association seems to take precedence over actual student needs. My child has struggled to receive adequate support for their learning difficulties, and the communication from teachers has been lacking. The Summer Food Service Program is a great initiative, but it's not enough to make up for the lack of individualized attention and care. As a parent, I feel undervalued and unheard, with my concerns dismissed by administrators more concerned with maintaining a positive public image. For a school that claims to prioritize 'academic excellence, creativity, and social responsibility,' I expect more. Unfortunately, our experience has fallen short, and we're considering alternative options for our child's education.
