Disappointing Experience with Cultural Insensitivity

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at The Division of Indian Work. As a member of the Native community, I was expecting a safe and nurturing environment, but unfortunately, that's not what I encountered. The staff seemed disconnected from the community they're supposed to serve, and their approach to traditional healing felt watered down and inauthentic. I attended one of their workshops, and it felt like they were just going through the motions, without any real understanding of our cultural practices. The facilitator used outdated terminology and didn't create a space for meaningful discussion or connection. I was also disappointed by the lack of follow-through on their promises - I was told I would receive additional support and resources, but that never materialized. It's clear that DIW has good intentions, but their execution falls short. Until they can demonstrate a deeper understanding and commitment to our community's unique needs, I would not recommend their services to others.
