I'm still trying to process the disappointment I felt after using Afriworld Furniture Removals for my recent move from Bloemfontein to Johannesburg. As someone who's moved multiple times, I thought I'd found a reliable partner in Afriworld, given their years of experience and reputation. Unfortunately, my experience was a masterclass in unmet expectations. The initial quote seemed competitive, but the final bill was a different story altogether - 'reduced one-way prices' apparently doesn't apply when you have a lot of furniture. The team that arrived was friendly, I'll give them that, but the lack of professionalism in handling my belongings was alarming. My favorite couch got scratched, and the 'all-risk' insurance I paid extra for? More like 'all-risk' of them denying my claim. The communication was also subpar; I had to call multiple times to get updates on my move, only to be met with vague assurances that 'everything is fine.' Well, everything was not fine. The move took longer than expected, and I was left with the stress of coordinating with my new landlord to get the keys. In a city where trust is hard to come by, Afriworld Furniture Removals betrayed mine. Unless they seriously revamp their operations and customer service, I'd advise potential clients to look elsewhere for their furniture removal needs. My move with Afriworld was supposed to be a new beginning; instead, it felt like a frustrating nightmare. Needless to say, I won't be recommending them to anyone, and I'm still dealing with the aftermath of their incompetence. One star from me, and that's being generous.
