I'm not one to usually write reviews, but my visit to Cut@Waterloo was a resounding disappointment. As a long-time fan of traditional barbering, I was excited to try out this highly-recommended shop. Unfortunately, the experience fell flat. The barber, who introduced himself as Halo, seemed distracted throughout the appointment, and the cut itself was lackluster. I specifically asked for a scissor cut with a skin fade, but what I got was a haphazard mess that looked more like a bad DIY job than a professional haircut. The hot towel shave, which I was looking forward to, was also a letdown - the towel was barely warm, and the shave itself was rough and left me with razor burn. For a barbershop that prides itself on attention to detail, I was shocked at the overall lack of care and attention I received. The booking system, which I thought would be a convenient feature, ended up being a hassle - I was left waiting for 20 minutes despite having booked an appointment. To top it all off, the prices were steep, especially considering the subpar service. As a student, I was expecting a decent discount, but the 10% off they offered was hardly worth the inconvenience. All in all, I would not recommend Cut@Waterloo to anyone looking for a quality barbering experience. There are far better shops in London that actually deliver on their promises.
