35 Years of Letdown: Overpriced and Inefficient
I've been a customer of Chi-Fuels for over 10 years, and it pains me to say that their service has been on a steady decline. The prices are no longer competitive, and the 'discount' they claim to offer is nothing but a myth. I've compared rates with other providers, and Chi-Fuels is consistently higher. The Automatic Delivery option, which I thought would be convenient, has turned into a nightmare. They've delivered oil to my house when I didn't need it, and then when I actually did need it, they were a week late. The Will Call option isn't much better, as I have to constantly keep track of my oil levels and hope they don't 'forget' my order. The online payment system is clunky and often doesn't work, forcing me to waste time on the phone with their customer service. And speaking of customer service, it's clear that the team is overwhelmed and undertrained. I've had to explain my issues multiple times to different representatives, only to be told that 'it's being looked into.' The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) participation is a nice touch, but it doesn't make up for the subpar service. For a family-owned business that claims to value its relationships with customers, I feel like just another number. It's time for me to take my business (and my heating oil needs) elsewhere. 2/10, would not recommend.
