Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School, also known as Northeast Metro Tech, is a four-year public regional vocational high school located in Wakefield, Massachusetts. The school serves students from 12 communities north of Boston, providing a diverse range of social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds. Northeast Metro Tech operates on a rotating block schedule, alternating between academic and vocational studies weekly, with a total enrollment of approximately 1380 students. After completing a Vocational Exploratory Program in grade 9, students can select from 17 different vocational areas, choosing a career path that leads to the attainment of skills and knowledge in their chosen field. The school offers 14 career and technical areas, as well as 1 STEM experience, providing students with a well-rounded education that aligns with educational standards and addresses their diverse learning needs. In addition to academic and vocational programs, Northeast Metro Tech promotes physical health and emphasizes the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership through competitive sports and recreational activities. The school also provides enrichment opportunities for students to engage in visual arts, performing arts, and other creative expressions.
