Not My Tribal Oasis, Unfortunately
I'm giving The Red Camel two stars and that's being generous. As a professional belly dancer, I was excited to find a US-based supplier for my performance gear, but the experience was underwhelming. First, the website looks like it was designed in the early 2000s - I mean, who still uses Flash? It took me forever to navigate and find what I was looking for. When I finally ordered a few pieces, including a Moroccan jewelry component set, it took over three weeks to arrive. I was told there would be no international shipping or tariffs, but the packaging looked like it came from overseas anyway. The quality of the items was just okay - the 'vintage silver' piece I got looked more like plated copper, and the large Indian cuff with agate inlays was pretty but felt flimsy. For a company that's been around for 21 years, I expected more. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but with so many other options out there, I won't be back. The Red Camel might have a rich history, but it needs to step up its game to keep customers like me satisfied.
