Hardware Hell: Where Expert Advice Goes to Die
I'm still fuming after my disastrous visit to Thrifty-Link Hardware. As a DIY enthusiast, I thought I'd found my haven, but boy, was I wrong. The 'expert advice' they brag about? Non-existent. I asked for help with a simple painting job, and the staff seemed more interested in chatting about the footy than actually assisting me. The products? Overpriced and lacking in variety. I ended up having to go to a competitor to find what I needed. And don't even get me started on the online shopping experience - the website is clunky, and the Click 'n' Collect option is a joke. I waited for over an hour for my order to be ready, only to be told they'd misplaced it. The 'strong focus on community' they claim to have? Must be a myth, because the staff seemed completely uninterested in helping me. Needless to say, I won't be back. One star, and that's being generous.
