Ink-redible Disappointment with Liquid X

I've been following Liquid X Printed Metals for a while, impressed by their innovative approach to functional metallic inks and additive manufacturing. However, my recent experience with them has left a sour taste. As a product designer, I reached out to collaborate on a custom electronics project, requiring their proprietary particle-free inks and printing capabilities. The initial communication was promising, with their team showcasing enthusiasm and expertise. Unfortunately, the samples they provided were inconsistent in quality, with noticeable variations in conductivity and adhesion. When I raised these concerns, the response was slow and less than satisfactory, with a sense of detachment from the issues I was facing. For a company that prides itself on 'bridging the gap from prototype to production,' the lack of attention to detail and customer support was alarming. Their water-based system and tunable viscosity sounded great on paper, but in practice, it seemed like just another sales pitch. I appreciate their achievements, like the $2.5 million in funding and the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, but these mean little if the core product and service suffer. Perhaps my expectations were too high, given their partnerships with notable companies like Powercast, but as a potential client, I was looking for a seamless experience that would justify the investment in their technology. Instead, I found myself dealing with a company that seemed more focused on its own growth and less on the needs of its customers. Until they address these issues and improve their customer-centric approach, I would caution others about relying on Liquid X for critical projects. With so many competitors emerging in the functional electronics fabrication space, Liquid X needs to step up its game to remain relevant.
