Not the Home Run We Expected
I'm usually not one to write reviews, but our experience with Pace Baseball through East York Baseball Camp was a letdown. My son, who's on the autism spectrum, was really looking forward to the camp, especially since they advertised accommodating children with special needs. However, the execution fell short. The staff, while friendly, seemed overwhelmed, and the programs, although engaging, didn't quite live up to the 'top-notch instruction' promise. The 'A League Of Their Own' camp, which my daughter was excited about, ended up being more chaotic than supportive, with not enough attention given to each child. For a camp that prides itself on inclusivity and excellence, we found the experience to be somewhat disorganized and not as inclusive as we had hoped. Maybe it was just an off year, but for the price, we expected a lot more. The communication was good, I'll give them that, but when it came down to it, the camp just didn't hit the mark for us. Perhaps with some restructuring and more staff training, Pace Baseball can get back to being a home run for families like ours.
