A Nightmare in Every Breath
I'm not usually one to write reviews, but my experience with Intoxalock has been an unmitigated disaster. As someone who's had to deal with the aftermath of a DUI, I thought I was doing the right thing by choosing a top-rated provider. Boy, was I wrong. The device itself is clunky and embarrassing to use - I mean, who thought it was a good idea to make me blow into a tube every time I start my car? And don't even get me started on the 'simple' one-button activation. It's taken me an average of 5 minutes to get the thing to work every morning. The retests during trips are also super inconvenient, especially when I'm running late for work. But you know what the cherry on top is? The 24/7 support that's always 'unavailable' when I need it. I've called them at 3 am, 12 pm, and every hour in between, and it's always the same automated message telling me to leave a voicemail. I've left voicemails, I've sent emails, and I've even tried to visit one of their 'convenient' service centers - only to be told that they can't help me without an appointment. Appointments that, of course, take weeks to schedule. All in all, I'd say Intoxalock is great at one thing: making an already difficult situation even more frustrating. If you value your sanity, stay far, far away from this company.
