June 06, 2025Disorganized and Unprofessional Experience at VCA Ho-Ho-Kus
I recently took my cat, Luna, to VCA Ho-Ho-Kus Animal Hospital for a routine check-up and vaccination. Unfortunately, the experience was disorganized and unprofessional from start to finish. When I arrived, the receptionist seemed overwhelmed and took a long time to check me in. The waiting room was crowded and noisy, with several animals that seemed to be in distress. When the veterinarian finally called us back, she seemed rushed and didn't take the time to fully explain Luna's condition or answer my questions. The vaccination process was also painful for Luna, and the vet didn't provide any comforting measures to ease her stress. To make matters worse, when I tried to book a follow-up appointment, the online system was down, and I had to wait on hold for over 20 minutes to speak to someone. I was expecting a more personalized and caring experience from VCA Ho-Ho-Kus, especially given their claims of 'hometown care.' Sadly, I won't be returning to this hospital and would not recommend it to fellow pet owners.
