I visited UMD Astoria Urgent Care last week, and unfortunately, my experience was a letdown. The wait time was supposed to be short, but I ended up waiting for over an hour to be seen. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and the doctor I saw seemed rushed and didn't take the time to fully listen to my concerns. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, but that's about where the positives ended. I was expecting a more personalized approach to my care, but instead, I felt like just another patient being herded through the system. The doctor ordered some tests, but the communication about the results was unclear, and I had to call multiple times to get any information. For a place that claims to prioritize patients' health, I didn't feel like my health was a priority at all. Maybe it was just a bad day, but I won't be returning to UMD Astoria Urgent Care anytime soon.
