I stopped by Traditions Barber Shop last Tuesday at 11:47 am, hoping for a much-needed trim. What I got was a haircut that seemed like it was done by someone who hadn't picked up scissors since barber school. The place had a nice, old-school vibe going on, but that's where the positives ended. My barber seemed distracted, and when I asked for a simple fade, I ended up with a choppy, uneven mess. The 'unbeatable prices' weren't so unbeatable when I considered the subpar service. For a barbershop that claims to be a 'staple in the community,' I expected a lot more. Maybe it was just a bad day, but for a guy like me who values a good haircut, I won't be back to find out. The whole experience felt like a fever dream – not the good kind, either.
