June 05, 2025Overhyped and Overpriced: Avoid TIVA Building Products
I'm a contractor with over a decade of experience, and I've worked with my fair share of building materials. When I heard about TIVA Building Products, I thought I'd give them a shot, especially since they claim to offer 'premium and innovative' solutions. Unfortunately, my experience was a resounding disappointment. The TIVADEK boards I ordered were supposed to be the crème de la crème of PVC decking, but they arrived with noticeable defects and a 'Rustic Emboss' that looked more like a cheap imitation of actual wood grain. The 'one board and two chances' feature they tout is just a fancy way of saying their products are prone to damage and you might get lucky if you can flip it over to hide the issue. I've seen better quality products from established brands at a fraction of the cost. The sales team was pushy, and when I tried to return the defective items, they gave me the runaround. It's clear that TIVA Building Products is more concerned with expanding their business than with providing actual value to their customers. Save your money and look elsewhere for building materials that won't break the bank or your trust.
