I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with T1D Exchange. As someone who's been living with type 1 diabetes for over a decade, I was excited to learn about an organization dedicated to improving care and outcomes for people like me. However, after exploring their website and reaching out to their team, I felt let down by the lack of personalized support and resources. The T1D Exchange Quality Improvement Collaborative sounds great on paper, but in reality, it feels like just another bureaucratic initiative that doesn't truly address the needs of individuals with type 1 diabetes. I was hoping for more practical advice, access to innovative treatments, and a sense of community, but what I got was a bunch of generic news articles and research papers that didn't really resonate with me. The platform for sharing stories and connecting with others is a nice idea, but it feels like an afterthought, and I didn't find it particularly helpful or engaging. Overall, I think T1D Exchange has its heart in the right place, but it needs to do more to actually support and empower people with type 1 diabetes.
