June 05, 2025Barrier to Progress: Dealing with Surianello Was a Nightmare
Let me tell you, as someone who's been in the construction game for a while, I've seen my fair share of contractors who talk the talk but can't walk the walk. Surianello General Concrete Contractors, Inc. is one of them. Their fancy website and mission statement about 'building a concrete vision for tomorrow' had me thinking they were the real deal. But boy, was I wrong. The project we hired them for was supposed to be a simple curb and gutter job, but it ended up being a never-ending saga of delays, miscommunications, and subpar work. I mean, who needs sustainable infrastructure when you can't even get the basics right? The union workforce they're so proud of? More like a bunch of guys standing around waiting for the clock to tick 5 pm. And don't even get me started on their 'commitment to excellence' - it's all just a bunch of corporate jargon if you ask me. I've dealt with better-run operations at a local DIY store. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend Surianello to my worst enemy. One star from me, and that's being generous.
