Legacy Lost: 150 Years of Disappointment

I'm not one to usually write reviews, but my experience with SPS Works was a stark reminder that sometimes, legacy means nothing when it comes to customer satisfaction. As someone who's worked with several manufacturers over the years, I was excited to try out this family-owned business, given their impressive 150-year history. Unfortunately, the quality of their products and the level of customer care they provided fell woefully short of my expectations. The custom nameplates I ordered had noticeable defects, and when I tried to address the issue, the team seemed more interested in deflecting blame than in finding a solution. For a company that prides itself on 'quality customer care' and boasts about its ISO 9001 certification, the lack of effort to rectify the situation was appalling. The design process, which they claim is comprehensive, felt rushed and lacking in expertise. The 'expert recommendations' provided were generic and did not cater to my specific needs as they had promised. What's more, the manufacturing process, despite their claims of flexibility and customization, seemed inflexible and unaccommodating to changes. Given the array of options they provide for customization, including color, material, shape, size, and manufacturing process, it was disappointing to find that altering any of these after the initial order was met with resistance. The ITAR registration, ISO 9001 certification, and status as a UL Authorized Label Supplier, which they proudly highlight, did little to reassure me of their commitment to quality, especially considering the subpar products I received. In the end, my interaction with SPS Works felt like a transaction with a faceless corporation rather than a personal, caring experience with a family-owned business. Unless they revisit their customer service and product quality, I fear their legacy will soon be all that's left of this once-proud manufacturer.
