June 05, 2025Overhyped and Underwhelming: My NovelQuest Nightmare
I visited NovelQuest expecting a revolutionary experience, but what I got was a bunch of overpriced, gimmicky products that failed to deliver. The MindBall game was supposed to be this futuristic, brain-wave-controlled phenomenon, but in reality, it was just two people sitting in front of a screen, trying to relax while a ball moved slowly across a table. The 'real-time brainwave display' was just a bunch of squiggly lines that meant nothing to me. And don't even get me started on the Scrooser - it's just a fancy scooter that costs an arm and a leg. The Ciclotte exercise bike was the only somewhat impressive product, but at that price point, I'd expect it to do my laundry for me. The travelling exhibitions were just a bunch of weird art pieces that seemed out of place in a tech store. The staff seemed more interested in explaining the 'artistic vision' behind each product than actually helping me understand how they worked. Overall, NovelQuest feels like a company that's more concerned with being trendy and exclusive than actually creating useful, innovative products. Unless you're a die-hard fan of 'luxury fitness equipment' or 'revolutionary personal transportation', I'd say give NovelQuest a hard pass.
