I joined the Mercedes-Benz Classic Club Russia with high hopes of connecting with fellow enthusiasts and learning more about my vintage Mercedes-Benz. Unfortunately, my experience has been underwhelming. The forum, while active, seems to be dominated by a few individuals who seem more interested in showcasing their own knowledge than in helping others. I posted a question about a rare issue with my 1960s Mercedes-Benz model, and instead of receiving helpful advice, I was met with criticism and scepticism. The community feels cliquey, and it's clear that unless you're part of the 'in crowd', your questions and concerns will be ignored. The social media presence is also lacking, with infrequent updates and little engagement. The events and activities, while promising, are often announced at short notice and seem to be geared towards those living in Moscow, leaving those of us in other parts of Russia feeling left out. Overall, I would not recommend the Mercedes-Benz Classic Club Russia to anyone looking for a supportive and inclusive community. The focus on classic models is great, but the club's approach to community building and member engagement needs a serious overhaul.
