June 06, 2025Overhyped and Underwhelmed: Not Worth the Hype or Money
I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Lectric Beach Wellness & Sun Club. Despite their fancy awards and certifications, the actual service was subpar. The staff seemed more interested in selling me a membership than helping me achieve my tanning goals. The Red Light Therapy, which I was really looking forward to, was just a fancy light bed with no real explanation of its benefits or how to use it properly. The Cocoon Wellness Pro pod was just a glorified sauna with a weird, uncomfortable smell. The 'clean and friendly atmosphere' they boast about was just a bunch of outdated decor and a front desk that seemed put off by my presence. For the prices they're charging, I expected a lot more. The 'state-of-the-art facilities' were nothing special, and the 'expert' staff didn't seem to know much about the services they were offering. Needless to say, I won't be back, and I'd advise others to save their money and look elsewhere for a real wellness experience. 2/10, would not recommend.
