June 05, 2025Overhyped and Underwhelming Experience at Kung Fu Tea
I stopped by Kung Fu Tea last weekend, expecting a life-changing bubble tea experience given all the hype. Unfortunately, my drink was a major letdown. The boba was overcooked and the tea itself tasted bland, like they were using low-quality tea leaves. I ordered the mango green tea with popping boba, but it was more like drinking sugary water with a few sad boba bits at the bottom. The service was also slow, even though it wasn't busy. For a place that claims to be the 'Starbucks of bubble tea,' I expected more attention to detail and better quality control. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but I won't be back anytime soon. The only thing that's 'fearless' about Kung Fu Tea is their pricing – $5 for a drink that's just okay? No thanks.
