I recently had the misfortune of staying at HIT THE ROAD in Menotey, and I must say, it was a thoroughly underwhelming experience. As a seasoned motorcyclist, I was excited to explore the winding roads of Jura, but the reality fell far short of my expectations. The motorcycle rental process was slow and disorganized, with outdated bikes that lacked basic maintenance. The accommodations, while charming, were cramped and overpriced. The 'convivial atmosphere' promised by the website was nothing more than a small, poorly stocked bar with a handful of stale snacks. The 'relaxation area' was a joke, with a worn-out couch and a TV that didn't work. But what really took the cake was the 'grocery corner', which consisted of a few dusty jars of local honey and some stale bread. The founders, Charlie and Valentine, seemed more interested in selling us overpriced wine and local specialties than in providing actual guidance or support. The whole experience felt like a poorly executed attempt at creating a 'motorcycle enthusiast's paradise'. Unless they seriously revamp their operations and focus on providing a genuine, value-for-money experience, I would not recommend HIT THE ROAD to my worst enemy. One star, and that's being generous.
