I'm still trying to process the absolute chaos that ensued when I rented a storage unit from Extra Space Storage on Cypress Pkwy. The sales team seemed friendly enough, but the moment I signed the contract, it was like they forgot I existed. The unit I chose was supposed to be climate-controlled, but when I went to store my belongings, it was hotter than the surface of the sun in there. I asked about the temperature issue, and the staff just shrugged it off, saying 'it's Florida, what can you do?' Um, how about maintaining a consistent temperature like you advertised? The security features they brag about? More like security theater. I saw people walking around without any gate access or surveillance. It felt like anyone could just waltz in. And don't even get me started on the 'sturdy moving carts' - they were flimsy and kept breaking. The elevators were slow, and the wide-drive aisles were always congested. I tried to reach out to the customer service team, but they were unhelpful and unresponsive. It's clear they're more interested in getting you to sign a contract than actually providing a quality service. Save your sanity and your belongings - avoid Extra Space Storage at all costs.
