About This Business
Camp Bow Wow and Meow is a unique pet care facility owned and operated by Jeff and Debbie Poland, experienced professional dog trainers with over 20 years of expertise in the animal health industry. After recognizing the need for more space in local kennels, the Polands spent two years researching the kennel business, attending seminars, and visiting numerous kennels along the east coast before purchasing 10 acres in Perry Township to bring their dream to life. In 1999, they opened Camp Bow Wow and Meow, conveniently located on the same property as their private home, allowing for a personal touch and dedication to the care of the pets. With their extensive background in dog training and animal care, having worked in vet clinics and attended seminars, Jeff and Debbie are well-equipped to provide top-notch care for pets. Their own pets, Willie, an Australian Shepherd, and Sammie, a Rottweiler, are a testament to their love and understanding of animals. Camp Bow Wow and Meow offers a safe and welcoming environment for pets, with the owners' passion for animal care and training evident in every aspect of the facility. By choosing Camp Bow Wow and Meow, pet owners can trust that their beloved pets are in good hands, receiving the attention and care they deserve. June 09, 2025Underwhelming Experience at Camp Bow Wow and Meow
I recently had the misfortune of boarding my dog, Max, at Camp Bow Wow and Meow, and I must say, the experience was a letdown. Despite the Polands' impressive background in dog training and animal care, the facility seemed to lack the attention to detail and personalized care that I expected. The kennels, although clean, felt somewhat cramped, and the play areas, while spacious, seemed to be lacking in terms of stimulation and engagement for the dogs. What really disappointed me, however, was the lack of transparency and communication from the staff. I had specifically requested regular updates on Max's stay, but unfortunately, I only received a few brief messages, which didn't really alleviate my concerns. The Polands' passion for animal care and training is evident, but it seems that their facility is still working out some kinks. Perhaps with some adjustments to their operations and communication strategies, Camp Bow Wow and Meow can live up to its full potential and provide the exceptional care that pet owners like myself expect. Until then, I would caution others to explore alternative options for their pet care needs.
