June 06, 2025A Disappointing Experience in Weymouth's 10FRONT
I was initially excited to move into 10FRONT, given its prime location in Weymouth Landing and the promise of stylish amenities. However, my experience has been marred by several issues that have left me feeling underwhelmed. Firstly, the 'high-end finishes' touted in the marketing materials didn't quite live up to my expectations. The wood and high-gloss cabinetry, while aesthetically pleasing, feels somewhat cheap to the touch, and the Sile-stone counter-tops, while nice, are not as durable as I had hoped. The polished concrete floors, which I thought would be a unique feature, have proven to be somewhat of a nuisance, as they seem to show every speck of dust and dirt. The recessed lighting, while providing ample illumination, can be somewhat harsh at times, and I find myself having to adjust it constantly to achieve a comfortable level of brightness. Furthermore, the 'oversized windows' are indeed a nice touch, but they also let in a considerable amount of noise from the street, which can be a problem, especially during rush hour. I've also had some issues with the natural gas range, which seems to have a bit of a learning curve, and the stacked washer/dryer, while convenient, can be somewhat finicky at times. The video intercom system, which I thought would be a useful feature, has been somewhat of a letdown, as it often seems to malfunction, leaving me wondering if someone is actually at the door or not. The designated parking and bike racks are a nice touch, but the assigned, private storage spaces are somewhat small, and I've found myself having to get creative with my storage solutions. Perhaps the biggest disappointment, however, has been the lack of responsiveness from the property management team. When I've tried to report issues or request maintenance, I've often been met with a delayed response or, worse still, complete radio silence. It's as if they're not particularly interested in addressing the concerns of their residents. All in all, while 10FRONT may look nice on paper, my experience has been decidedly lackluster. Unless they address some of these issues and improve their customer service, I would not recommend this development to others.
